You Tube Adds Automatic Captioning to Videos
In an important step that will likely improve the accessibility of video content on the web for the deaf and hard of hearing communities, You Tube has added an automatic captioning feature. This means that those who make and load videos will no longer have to go through the manual process of transcribing and uploading captions themselves. Rather, it will be an option offered by You Tube. For more information, see beet.tv’s coverage of the story.
